It does have to do with Sins of the Father. The Story team knowingly assigned, wrote, and published a lengthy series without any possible payoff. It would have been a really cool one or two part story. But it occupied too many weeks where something else should have been advancing a stagnant plot.

I'm fine with a fiction that doesn't dramatically impact the story. Anything that goes on for as long as that series did? A little payoff would be nice. Ichigiku has potential, but she was a character of no previous standing who went on an adventure that, while well-written, merely advanced her character on a personal level. It didn't show any clan goals of any kind.
