Re: Another Way - Proposals for Alternate Story Paths

Given this, I am much more reconciled to Option 1. The big question remaining, to my mind, is what to do with the Unicorn alliance, because I really want to see it happen. Personally I would save it for a future path. Much like you and I, Unicorn players on the forums represent a small amount of th...

Re: Another Way - Proposals for Alternate Story Paths

They are not going to completely remove a win condition. They may , however, remove supporting a win condition for the Crane (while leaving it as a supported strategy for other Clans), Its been confirmed, they won't. This is the starting path, there are many more choices ahead. While I agree with m...

Re: Another Way - Proposals for Alternate Story Paths

I think despite the emphasis on "militaristic aspects" over "political ones", there doesn't have to be a disconnect between it and Honor decks. For example, Pure Intent: it's a card that is useful for both military and honor decks that helps advance both win conditions. More car...

Re: Another Way - Proposals for Alternate Story Paths

I do not share your faith that Option 1 is a path that will lead to them being supported. The fact that winning by reaching 40 Honour will technically remain an option barring major rules changes is not the same as it being a viable strategy to pursue for us, and if we vote for an option that expli...

Re: Another Way - Proposals for Alternate Story Paths

I think you are reading too much in the potential ccg implications. I never said favoring honor decks. Even though I am primarily a CCG player, I enjoy options that the Crane have thus I ideally play switch, which wouldn't surprise me if it had more support in this environment for the ccg than the t...

Re: The Left Hand's Path - Crane Story Paths

The courtier school is on my radar, but there is another choice that I wish to name if I can take a Kotei (came close twice so far going 4th and then coming in 2nd), a choice that I am not going to name but should really help going into Onyx, all things considered. But bringing up the Koteis is some...

Re: Another Way - Proposals for Alternate Story Paths

Now that they have clarified exactly what the paths mean and how they will go about it, I am reaffirming my confidence in option one. Tacticus, I know you put work into your proposal and it makes sense, but I think it is too much too soon and we should not divide our efforts too early. We have to wo...

Re: Another Way - Proposals for Alternate Story Paths

Thing is, there are no front lines that the Asahina can stay away from and provide sanctuary. As I understand it, the best way to describe what will happen is this: take an 8 1/2" by 11" (standard printer paper size) map of Rokugan. Then take an 8 1/2" by 11" color overlay and la...

Re: The Left Hand's Path - Crane Story Paths

With every artisan, every craftsman, every peasant farmer and weaver that knows an esoteric technique or simple trick that improves the Rokugani lot, that is slaughtered, art -- culture, the knowledge of such -- is lost forever. Will you wage war again so well after Kanpeki's time, if the knowledge...

Re: The Left Hand's Path - Crane Story Paths

I'm not on board with option 1 because as presented, it requires the Crane to give up what we're good at in favour of what other Clans are always going to be better at. "If you choose to follow this path, it means setting aside your words, ... this path will favor more militaristic aspects of ...
