Oh my god the irony is delicious.

But, let's be honest, for Naleesh* it would have to be a younger brother of Doji Makoto. Anything short of that would just not do, in my opinion. Direct line to the kami and all that.

Edit: Naleesh, of course. Brain fart.

Are you talking about Naleesh there? Min-Hee has almost certainly been married for a long time now.

And does Makoto even have siblings?

Anyway. Marriage alliances involving Naleesh do not seem to be of any particular interest to the Unicorn player base (negative interest, in at least one case), so... probably not a productive line to pursue.

We can offer many more things than mariages in an alliance with the Unicorn. Especially if these blunders with the Lion degenerate into actual real breaking up of our Alliance.

Indeed; alas, the other lines of possibility also seem to not garner that much by way of interest, sometimes negative interest, as an approach. Really, we need to see our own paths, it seems. Aah well; it seemed a good shot to try?

Hey now, I wouldn't give up yet. Nomad Wanderer seems quite open to continuing the discussion, even if nothing can reasonably be settled until the Crane paths are also revealed. And we haven't yet seriously discussed anything we can offer [except the marriage idea, which was only ever random speculation. I think offering food and political support to Unicorn efforts has definite potential that should be explored.

Indeed. And I would also like to put emphasis on the cultural benefits. We can alter the trends so the Unicorns are no longer seen as barbars. It would be a great way to enrich the culture of the Empire...

That's more of a long-term benefit, but one I definitely intend to bring up.

Long-term benefit that's definitely worth pursuing. We are Progressives after all :D .

EDIT: Man, I really want to see our path options.

Also, didn't we have our own contacts with the Yobanjin? That could be a bargaining tool...
