Discard effects are as bad as holding destruction on the "fun" scale. ie. not on the fun scale.

Discard effects that are avoidable are not quite the same as straight discard effects. From a mechanical stand-point, they are good for the game. As long as it doesn't approach total hand destruction, we should be okay. Great card advantage, in any case.
