In my eyes, gold producing Fortifications have to do something to really shine in order to make the cut (Honor-producing ones get off a little easier right now due to lack of other options). Back in the day, Empty Crevasse was a solid card because it was an extra clan holding (and because Taeruko). This? Not so much. Fear is a marginal ability right now, and only two clans get substantial use of the mechanic -- Lion and Spider, neither of which really want to be pushed into a forced defensive battle to safeguard a 2/2 Holding. Especially a 2/2 Holding whose trait does little to excite me. It's much better than the ability on Carrion's Breath, but even dedicated Fear decks, such as they are, aren't running Carrion's Breath.

They won't run this either, and neither will anyone else.
