From the discussion on Discord, it seems like in other LCG's (namely AGoT) the difference between discard and sacrifice is that sacrificed character cannot be saved by other cards.

Also most likely everything before the dash - is a cost. Meaning if you cancel it, you didn't pay the cost.

Since core it has become easier and easier to meet the requirements on Noble Sacrifice, and it has went from a 1x to a 2x to a 3x back to a 2x in most decks because of this. Being able to just remove one of the strongest characters on the other side of the board is crazy powerful, especially in a Tower Heavy Meta or with Tadaka on the other side of the table. I can't see it leaving decks anytime soon as there aren't better options then it. 5.5 out of 5
